Our Philosophy

Our learning environment is carefully set up to inspire and motivate children to explore and discover the world around them. We want children to ask have conversations with each other and with the adults; to ask questions and to enjoy the journey of finding out more. We view the learning environment as an educator as it brings children together in exploration and experience.

Our practitioners put much effort into creating a stimulating learning environment. This environment reflects the children's voices and thereby makes children feel valued as leaders of their own learning. We encourage free flow and independence throughout the nursery. Our environments are organised into clearly defined zones with the aim that each zone is inviting and thought provoking, encouraging interaction, imaginative play and problem solving.

As much as possible, we use natural resources as research suggests a range of additional benefits including enhancing sensory development and a connection with nature. Furthermore, natural resources are open ended in nature, encouraging children to rely more on their imagination and creativity rather than depending on plastic toys that usually entail one predetermined use.
